New Jersey’s Best Boutique Hotel – Bungalow Hotel

Someone once told me that traveling is an essential part of life. Going to new places, meeting new people and taking time to reflect on yourself is what fundamentally transforms us into who we become. Andy and I have traveled the country together, but one thing we failed to truly explore is the very state we live in: New Jersey. After getting engaged we promised each other that we would take advantage and explore the beautiful Garden State. So, this past weekend we decided to go the beach. We jumped on the Parkway and headed to Long Branch.

Long Branch, New Jersey has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to trendy seaside living. The beach town is a hot destination for thousands of sun worshipers who love salty ocean breezes, endless beaches and resort style summers. We wanted to stay somewhere central that was just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. For us, The Bungalow Hotel was the perfect place. It’s a home away from home, featuring ocean views, and an instagram worthy interior perfect for a romantic weekend or an extended stay down the shore.

THE BUNGALOW HOTEL

Built in 2009, the boutique hotel is nested in Pier Village, a community of rich culture, renowned shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The interior décor was hand-picked by HGTV stars Cortney and Robert Novogratz and truly reflects there bright, artsy and eccentric style. Instantly – it’s a hipster’s dream. Upon check in we were greeted in the lobby by the wonderful staff. The lobby is also full of lounge style seating and complimentary games to keep you entertained when you’re not exploring around town. Everything from Billards, foosball, and checkers to backgammon will keep your competitive edge stimulated while you sip on cocktails from the hotel bar.

The most important part though? The guest rooms. They are spacious with modern amenities and a sleek white interior. Andy and I stayed in a two-bedroom suite that took our breath away. Our experience was one of a kind and truly something we have never experienced throughout years of traveling together. It was an enjoyable experience and we can’t wait to go back and take advantage of their Love Bird Package which includes chilled champagne, a box of chocolates with a candles and roses across the bed. I’m thinking this will be a perfect way to celebrate my birthday this fall. Sometimes all you need is a weekend to revive the soul and for locals Long Branch is a perfect destination to getaway.

AMENITIES

Each room features flat screen TVs, floor to ceiling windows, a mini fridge, coffee maker and a fireplace. The atmosphere was lively and ultra-modern, exactly what you should expect from a hotel. If you like to mix business and pleasure complimentary Wifi will help you keep up on emails while you enjoy the ocean views from your window.

Andy and I love to explore around town and if you’re anything like us you will love the complimentary bicycles the Bungalow also offers. They are a great way sight see and cruise up and down the boardwalk and Pier Village.

THINGS TO DO IN LONG BRANCH, NEW JERSEY

AVENUE

During your stay at the Bungalow, you will be busy with a variety of things to do. From area attractions to local shopping and events your vacation escape will be very fulfilling. One of our favorite places right on the water is Avenue.

Avenue is a Parisian inspired restaurant with a mouthwatering menu. Andy enjoyed Alaskan Salmon while I indulged on their homemade Lobster Spaghetti. For dessert, we splurged on the Chocolate Truffle Cake and some green tea.

The restaurant is truly, one of a kind and instantly takes you from the Jersey Shore to a topical island. I would recommend dressing up for the occasion, especially for a romantic night out.

LE CLUB BEACH CLUB

If you like private beaches, then Le Club Beach Club is the perfect place for you. The exclusive members only beach club features a martini pool and you can enjoy cocktails in a cabana while you lounge beach side. Bungalow hotel guests have access to the club for an additional $25 per person. Children under 12 are free.

SANDY HOOK NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy a day of hiking and becoming one with nature at the Sandy Hook National Park. This beautiful escape if located just 15 minutes from the Bungalow Hotel.

STONE PONY

For your night time entertainment and a piece of music history visit the Stone Pony. The music club hosts national acts and helped launch the careers of Jersey boys Springsteen and Bon Jovi.

Lastly, don’t forget to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Pictured below is our view from The Bungalow Hotel – absolutely beautiful! Planning on visiting Long Branch, New Jersey let me know – I would love to hear all about your experience in the comments below.
