Travel season is here! Whether it’s a weekend getaway or an overseas vacation – rounding up your favorite hair and beauty essentials can be a complicated combination. Traveling light doesn’t mean you have to say bon voyage to your favorite products, especially when it comes to your hair. I put that to the test during a recent trip to Long Branch, New Jersey. I stayed at the beautiful Bungalow Hotel, which is just steps from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean – and this time I decided I wasn’t going to over pack on hair care. Aside from a blow dryer (which was provided by the hotel) the only hair products I brought with me was my T3 Micro Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe. For a beach getaway, they are a great low maintenance essential. I love using the rollers for textured waves and of course volume.
They come in a storage case that is perfect for travel and heat up in seconds. I love to use them for the top portion of my hair to get extra lift. Usually Ill put them on first thing in the morning and then let them cool while I do my makeup and get ready for the day. These photos were taken right before Andy and I went for a walk around Pier Village.
When it comes to my skin – traveling can be a little harsh so I usually like to pack a few sheet masks. On this trip I tried and tested a new product from ama.la for my dark spots. The marks were left over from a few blemishes so I was hoping they would fade by using the brightening treatment mask. Honestly, I was very nervous to try it just because I have sensitive skin. Following application my skin started to tingle I’m assuming that meant it was working because after taking it off my skin actually felt really good. I didn’t notice much of a difference after the first use but I have been using it couple times a week and I’m starting to see results. My skin tone is evening out and my acne scars are a lot less visible. I’m hoping that a month from now my results will be even better.
The brightening mask is filled with Omega-6 essential fatty acids, which are meant to strengthen the skins protective barrier along with Vitamin C. It’s supposed to help with discolorations, acne scars, age spots and dull skin. According to reviews many saw really good results after 4 weeks and I have to say I am one of those people. So far I am really happy with the way my skin is reacting. I think the key is also having a consistent beauty regimen, nothing will happen over night so it’s all about patience and maintenance.
