This weekend I was kidnapped. I was held hostage in a car for four hours. Well, kind of … the kidnappers are my friends. We all share a passion when it comes to travel and this weekend we took full advantage of California’s central coast. Gosh, it was breathtaking.
The good thing is, my friends are photographers so we were able to capture the beautiful landscape. We made several stops along the way but one of my favorite places was Montana de Oro State Park. It’s a heavily localized gem about five miles South of Morro Bay.
The landscape is one of a kind allowing for ample photo opportunities.
When it came to my look I wanted to keep things organic, down to earth yet fashionable. You know, something Mother Nature would approve of. I felt this off the shoulder dress was the perfect choice.
Spending the day at Montana de Ora State Park regenerated my soul. I felt refreshed, motivated and at peace. That’s the beautiful thing about nature – it heals.
Seeing my good friend Alfie was the highlight of my trip. I haven’t seen him in six years! It was a reunion long overdue. Alfie is a constant reminder that experiences triumph over any material possessions. He is so special I wish everyone could have an “Alfie” in their life.
To conclude this post: Appreciate your friends – they are amazing.
P.S. More photos to come. The ones in this post are courtesy of my new friend John 🙂
