Farfetch Safari

The summer heat wave is making us strip down, and change up our wardrobe. From rising hemlines to strapless dresses it’s ok to show off a little skin this season which brings me to the Farfetch Summer Content Pack. The catalog is filled with unique wardrobe ideas and trends for a smoking hot summer. Think bold prints, bright colors and old school influences. Ladies and gentlemen it’s time to take a risk. Personally, I get into these moods where I have this desire to mix things up and wear something out of the ordinary. All it takes is a little inspiration and Farfetch is good at that!

They created an insider’s guide to top trends and looks set to take over the streets this summer season from Balmain to Saint Laurent. All looks that would make the late street style photographer and fashion icon Bill Cunningahm very proud. Rest in peace my friend and thank you for inspiring fashion lovers worldwide! That shout-out was totally necessary and appropriate because Mr. Cunningham is the reason street style exists! He transformed New York City sidewalks into catwalks. People in New York dressed for him praying he would take their snap shots for a feature in Time Magazine.

Bill believed it and I believe it; Street style is EVERYTHING and more and more fashion houses are going there for inspiration including Farfetch. Their website features amazing looks that are at the top of my wish list right now.

Look #1

The Style Icon: Lauren Hutton

Icon Lauren Hutton had it right when it came to summer time linen. I touched on this fabric in a previous post, its light weight airy material is perfect for the summer heat. My wish list looks are these Adam Lippes trousers and a short sleeve coast by Dusan. Simple items like this can be mixed and matched, but worn together they can make a big statement too. I would pair it with strappy Sandals and an accessory to give this two piece a complete look.

Look #2

Farfetch The Name To Know: Muveil

In look 2 it’s all about the tropical trend and boyfriend trousers! I am loving this jungle print blouse by Muveil and cropped cargo pants by Dsquared2. This look is definitely  for someone looking for comfort. It’s perfect for an excursion or a hike in the outdoors.

These are the things that get me excited about fashion blogging. Fashion has this incredible ability to draw out personality and; in many way it’s also like body armor. You put it on and it gets your through the day with confidence and I am glad Farfetch is able to spotlight that.

Most importantly, any brand that supports bloggers and fashions lovers alike gets an A+ in my book! I want to thank Farfetch for inviting me to be a part of their International Style Competition. This has been fun 🙂

I love the Bill Cunningham quote at the end, and also what you say about fashion like body armor…I couldn’t agree more! My outfit definitely has an effect on how comfortable I am, no matter what situation.
